The scope and the goal of the symposium

Modal expansion techniques have been developed and improved over the last decade. They may offer an attractive alternative to popular direct solution of scattering problems, as they provide deeper physical insights and growing simplicity of implementation.

The goal of this symposium is to bring together experts in the field in order to enable high quality discussions and potentially, knowledge transfer within this small community and even to new collaborations.
